Reverend Anthony B. Thompson
The Rev. Anthony B Thompson is a Charleston native and graduate of Bishhop England Highschool. He received a Bachelors of Arts of Degree in Secondary Education at Benedict College. He served 6 years in the US Navy and received a Master of Divinity from Cummins Memorial Theological Seminary of Summerville, SC.
The CMTS alumnus is the author of the book

INSTRUCTOR SPOTLIGHT:
Reverend Omar L. Dykes
CMTS African American Studies Instructor Reverend Dykes is the Senior Pastor of Bunton CME Church, Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Rev. Dykes’ areas of interest include Homiletics and Preaching, African American Religious studies, Hip-Hop Culture, Prophetic Witness, and Psychology.
Rev. Dykes loves the hymns of the church; his favorite hymn is “Draw Me Nearer”. His favorite scripture is 1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
